Description:

The Trustworthy AI Lab for Education (TALE) at Notre Dame will bring together a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, computer scientists, learning scientists, and STEM education researchers across campus as well as external partners, to decipher how to build effective and trusted AI solutions for education.  The summit will produce a white paper and roadmap of human-centric AI in education outlining the vision, expectations, timelines, and metrics for achieving the goals, which are intended to provide guidance to the entire research community so it will benefit a wider audience as well. This summit, in combination with other start-up activities, searching for other sources of information and collaboration with other Notre Dame entities will lead to increased awareness and visibility needed to bootstrap the entity kick off process.
