Notre Dame-IBM Tech Ethics Hackathon: Calculating the ROI of AI Ethics for Organizations

Join us for a hackathon hosted by the Notre Dame-IBM Technology Ethics Lab! Code and iterate on ideas for calculating the return on investment of AI ethics while networking with professionals from IBM, LogicaNow, TechBetter, and Notre Dame. Snacks and dinner will be provided!

Please note that only Notre Dame students are eligible to participate, and a Notre Dame email address must be used to register. Each team member should register separately. Registration closes one week before the event on Friday, April 12. 

Prizes

  • First prize: A trip to visit IBM in New York for up to three team members, including economy airfare, lodging for two nights, ground transportation, and actual expenses for food and incidentals, and $3,000 cash to be split among up to three team members
  • Second prize: $2,000 cash to be split among up to three team members 
  • Third prize: $1,000 cash to be split among up to three team members

The hackathon will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 in the Academic Commons of Corbett Family Hall.

FAQs

  • Who is eligible to participate in the hackathon? Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students representing any major or course of study are eligible to participate in the hackathon. 
  • How many members can be on a team? Up to three team members can be on a team.
