Journal of Legislation 2024 Symposium: Envisioning Federal AI Legislation

The Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society is proud to be a co-sponsor for the “Envisioning Federal AI Legislation” Symposium. This symposium will be a two-day event, occurring on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, and Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Eck Hall of Law McCartan Courtroom. The keynote Fireside Chat will be given by U.S. Senator Todd Young. To attend the Fireside Chat, registration is required.

In the absence of federal artificial intelligence legislation, the need to discuss a future statutory framework has grown more pressing than ever.

This Symposium aims to create a forum to discuss the opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence and the implications of regulating it. The Symposium will host speakers from across the nation to discuss what future AI legislation should look like.
