Health Data and Analytics Lab (HDAL)

Advancing health access and outcomes with data-driven approaches

The Health Data and Analytics Lab (HDAL), established under the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society at the University of Notre Dame and generously supported by a gift from Accenture, collaborates with interdisciplinary researchers from academia and community partners to identify and address health inequities.

The primary goal of the Lab is to advance interdisciplinary research and translation in the fields of health access, data science, and AI, identified through global collaborative efforts. Additionally, the lab aims to develop a comprehensive framework for co-creation and co-innovation with stakeholders and communities. This framework will address challenges related to health inequality, especially at the intersection of the main global public health problems, where the health inequity gaps require immediate response and social care.

The Health Data and Analytics Lab focuses its vision on leveraging available data and research to generate social good through informed decision-making by community and global leaders. This enables the design of tailored interventions and public policies that address major global health inequities, aligned with the mission of advancing the Common Good through the use of AI technology.
