Biography
Deng Pan serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. He earned his PhD from Wayne State University, specializing in interpretable machine learning and adversarial robustness. His work focuses on developing models that are both powerful and transparent, making complex decisions understandable. Prior to joining the University of Notre Dame, Deng was an Applied Scientist at AntGroup Inc., where he leveraged his expertise to address real-world challenges with innovative technological solutions.
At the Lucy Family Institute, he is eager to collaborate on projects that explore the forefront of responsible machine learning and artificial intelligence, contributing his experience and insights to the institute’s research endeavors.
