In collaboration with the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society, the Lucy Graduate Scholar’s program is launching an exciting new initiative: the Journal for Data and Societal Endeavors (JDSE). This student-led, peer-reviewed journal is dedicated to showcasing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of data science and societal challenges.

The JDSE provides students (undergraduate, graduate, MBA, JD) with an opportunity to publish research or course projects, gain experience in academic writing, and participate in the peer-review process—skills crucial for success in both academia and industry. We believe this initiative would be of particular interest to students in your department, as JDSE emphasizes topics that demonstrate the impact of data-driven approaches in diverse and interdisciplinary topics.

An information session will be held for students that maybe interested in learning how to submit their work to the journal.

Best submissions to the journal are also eligible for awards including cash prizes up to $500!

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend!
