Health AI Forum

Overview

The Health AI Forum brings together leaders from community organizations, industry, and all levels of government alongside Notre Dame’s leadership, faculty, and staff. 

The event serves as a catalyst for stimulating meaningful conversations and fostering collaboration in the fields of health research, data science, and artificial intelligence. The participants in this diverse group encompass health payers, providers, retailers, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, government agencies, community health organizations, and universities, all with a shared focus on addressing health access and outcomes challenges, creating interventions, and applications through thought-provoking discussions, research development, and focused population health initiatives.

Current Forum Pillars

The Heath AI Forum to be held in Oct 2025, co-occurring with the RISE conference at Notre Dame, will focus on the following two pillars:

  • Rural Health
  • Mental Health of Older Adults

In addition, the forum will also discuss and highlight roadblocks and challenges, innovations and emerging topics in health AI. The Forum’s signature activities are driven by both business entities, academic and industrial researchers, and multidisciplinary experts.

  • Keynote Speech: on rual health and mental health
  • Panel Discussions on rural health and mental health
  • Roundtable Discussion on emergiing topics in heatlh AI
  • Late-breaking Discussant Session on AI innovation
  • Poster presentations on research findings from health-AI related projects.

Previous Forum Pillars

The 2023-2025 Forum was guided by four health equity pillars selected during the inaugural event:

  1. Precision Social Determinants of Health
  2. Health Access and Outcomes Data Index
  3. Beyond Human Resources – the health and well-being of communities
  4. The Health Workforce of the Future

Key Activities

The Forum’s signature activities, through which numerous projects have emerged, are driven by both business entities and multidisciplinary experts.
