Closing the loop on child lead poisoning

Lucy Family Institute researchers, in collaboration with the Notre Dame Lead Innovation Team (ND-LIT), the Center for Civic Innovation (CCI), the Office of Clinical Partnerships, the Shaw Center for Children and Families, the Office of Federal Relations, and the Lab for Economic Opportunity are working to develop technological solutions that aim to prevent South Bend children from becoming lead poisoned.

This project involves working closely with community and civic partners, including the St. Joseph County Department of Health, Beacon Health System, and the City of South Bend. The team aspires to create infrastructure that will enable Community Health Workers (CHWs) to improve their case management abilities by increasing communication between households, healthcare providers, and the City.
