Biography
Shifu Hou is a postdoctoral research associate for the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. Hou specializes in the integration of Graph Neural Networks (GNN) and Large Language Models (LLM) to enhance AI capabilities, particularly in cybersecurity and logical reasoning. Hou also has extensive experience in developing advanced AI models for malware detection and improving the contextual understanding of AI systems. His recent work includes automating Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations using LLMs.
Hou joins the Applied Analytics and Emerging Technology Lab (AETL) from the YES Lab, led by Fanny Ye, Galassi Family Collegiate Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame.
Prior to Notre Dame, Hou recieved his PhD from Case Western University in 2022 with prior study at West Virginia University and Xiangtan University.
