Biography

Ali Altiok is a Ph.D. student in Peace Studies and Political Science. His dissertation focuses on the impact of the digitalization of government services on youth political trust in Kenya. Ali has published on youth political inclusion, securitization, and counterterrorism. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked for over five years as a research consultant for the United Nations and as a policy officer and coordinator for several international peacebuilding organizations in New York. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Middle East Technical University (Turkey), an M.A. in Political, Legal and Economic Philosophy from the University of Bern (Switzerland) and an M.A. in Peace and Security Studies from the University of Hamburg (Germany).
