Biography
Benjamin (Ben) Weintraub is an Assistant Research Professor at the Lucy Family Institute for Data & Society. His research at the intersection of networks and distributed systems security uses a variety of empirical and formal methods to close the gap between theory and implementation of network protocols and shed light on exactly what makes them vulnerable, quantify exactly how vulnerable they are, and build safeguards to help people and organizations protect themselves. His work has been published in IEEE Security & Privacy, ACM Computer and Communication Security, and the Internet Measurement Conference, among others.
Weintraub completed his PhD at Northeastern University, where he subsequently held a Postdoctoral Research position. He has also held research positions at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Cloudflare Research.
