Session 1: Information Designer Claudine Jaenichen (Orange California) will present ‘Cognition and Wayfinding for Disaster planning'. Then, Architect Jorge León (Valparaiso Chile) will present ‘Fostering tsunami resilience through vertical evacuation’.

After the presentations, there will be open time for discussion about communication for tsunami evacuation.

Jorge León, Fostering tsunami resilience through vertical evacuation
Architect, UTSM Technical University. Master in Urban Planning, University of Buenos Aires. PhD in Architecture and Urbanism University of Melbourne.
Research areas: Role of the urban way in optimizing response actions against natural threats of rapid start, vulnerability of coastal areas, urban planning and territorial planning.
